Trains of Winnipeg is a genre-blending collaborative project which obscures the lines between spoken word and music, poetry and film, multimedia and recorded audio.
The result of a year-long collaboration between four of Winnipeg's most acclaimed and accomplished artsts, Trains was conceived by poet/media artist Clive Holden. An album, an upcoming film, an evolving website, Trains takes Clive's poetry as its core and incorporates a soundtrack written and performed by percussionist Jason Tait (of the Weakerthans), guitarist/songwriter John K. Samson (also of the Weakerthans and arbeiter ring publishing) and singer/songwriter Christine Fellows.
